Welcome to
Links for Students of History and the
Social Sciences
(Professor Dan Graf's Home Page)

These
web pages are also available on a mirror site hosted by Cox.net.
On these pages you will find links to a small but
carefully selected handful of sites drawn from the countless resources available
on the World Wide Web. My primary purpose is
to help students doing history research find electronic resources
as quickly and easily as possible. As you use these pages, you
should keep in mind a couple of rules of thumb. First, the
Internet--and hence the Web--is in constant flux. Home pages and
URLs come and go. Consequently, some of the
hypertext links below may no longer work when you try them.
Another source of difficulty is the increased traffic on the Web,
which sometimes renders one or another URL unresponsive at a
given time. Try again later, but if a link fails to respond over
a period of time, you may need to check its address using one of
the search tools or subject indices below.
Naturally,
the list of links is particularly strong in areas of my own
personal interest. Note that the Holocaust, military history, and
Russian history are extremely well represented, while areas such as American history are under-represented.
Still, by using the
links grouped under the heading of GENERAL
HISTORY, you will quickly find Web Sites for material on
almost any area of history you might be interested in.
Finally,
don't forget to use resources like Yahoo
(and other indices found under the heading SUBJECT INDICES), as well as the
various web search tools to find
additional resources.
This collection of URLs is divided into several categories,
as listed below. Click on the name of a category to see that
particular list of sites.
