- While images do enhance the web pages, there is a such thing as overkill. The more images you add to a web page, the larger the web page becomes. The larger the web page, the more time it takes to download.
- Refrain from using cartoon-like clip-art or animated gifs. Generally these are amateurish looking and create a less than professional web site.
- Refrain from inserting images just for the sake of having images on your web page. Make sure that the image corresponds with the page subject matter. Images and text should support one another.
