Once you have edited your pages you can now publish your changes to the website. Depending on your role, you may or may not be able to publish pages directly to the website.
Contribute Roles
We have THREE user roles in Contribute:
- Content Producer - The content producer can create new pages and edit existing pages. However, they cannot publish their changes to the website. They must submit the page they worked on for approval by the site manager or site publisher.
- Site Publisher - The site publisher has the ability to create new pages, edit existing pages and content, and publish pages to the website. If a site has a content producer, the site manager can receive draft versions of pages from the content producer. The site manager can then edit, delete or publish the page that was sent by the content producer. The site publisher is not responsible for the content that appears on the site.
- Site Manager - The site manager has the same privileges that the site publisher has with the addition of being responsible for the content on a site.
For the most part, most sites under VWC will have only one person in the site manger role with no content producers or site publishers.
