VWC Committee on Curricular Reform (CCR)

The faculty has tasked the CCR to conduct a comprehensive curricular restructuring to develop a compelling, coherent and rigorous curriculum that engages students in scholarly pursuits and better prepares them for graduate and professional schools.  The proposed curricular reform uses a 4x4 approach, where each student focuses on four enhanced 4-credit courses during each term, allowing more depth of study and increased independent research.  This approach seeks to more fully engage students in a way that also frees up faculty time for scholarship and the supervision of undergraduate research.  This site is designed to disseminate information about the curricular reform process and serve as a clearinghouse for all related information.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Lisa Carstens, Associate Dean of Inquiry Guided Learning.
