Common name: Calamondin orange

Botanical name: xCitrofortunella microcarpa

Origin: General belived to be a hybrid between Citrus reticulata (tangerine or Mandarin orange) and Fortunella margarita (kumquat).

Uses: In the United States it is generally grown as an ornament. The juice may be made to make a drink similar to lemonade. In Asia the juice is used to baste meat and fish and the fruits are used as a condiment.
