Zamia pygmaea Sims

Z. pygmaea is native to central and western Cuba and the Isle of Pines. It is a diminutive species with a subterranean stem. The plant shown here is growing in a 5-inch terra cotta pot, and, at the time this photograph was taken, it was a little over a year old. This picture was taken with a Sony MVC-FD7 Malvica digital camera.
