The fifth annual VWC High School Mathematics Contest was held Monday February 24, 2003.

Next year's contest is tentatively set for Monday, February 23.

SCHEDULE
• 8:30 -9:30 am: Continental breakfast and opening remarks
• 9:30 am: Test admministered
• 11:00 am: Campus tour
• 12:00 pm: Lunch and speaker - Professor J. Pat Lang,
  "Numerical techniques for approximating irrationals"
• 1:00 pm: Awards presentation

AWARDS:
• $5000 scholarship to VWC
• $2000 scholarship to VWC
• $1000 scholarship to VWC
• three $500 scholarships to VWC
• Highest scoring school award

Each participant will receive a certificate and a VWC HSMC 2003 t-shirt. Each award winner receives a plaque.
